The Nelson-Denny Reading Test is a reading survey test for high school students, college students, and adults that measures vocabulary development, comprehension, and reading rate.
- Forms G and H are parallel forms that have been equated and can be used interchangeably as pretests and posttests; data for students previously tested with Forms E or F can also be compared to data provided by Forms G or H.
- Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Total scores are presented as raw scores, scale scores, grade-equivalent scores, normal curve equivalent scores, national percentile ranks, and national stanines.
- Norms are available for high school and 2- and 4-year college students; special norms are available for extended-time administration (for special populations such as ESL students) and for law-enforcement academies.
