The DSM-IV-TR provides updated information on associated features, including associated laboratory and physical findings for many of the disorders. Sections on prevalence, gender/age/culture/course, and familial pattern have also been revised to reflect recent research findings. More comprehensive differential diagnoses have been incorporated for many of the other disorders. Changes were made to the following diagnostic criteria: Personality Change Due to a General Medical Condition, Paraphilias, and Tic Disorders.
